ICQ поменяла протокол?

Говорят, вечером 13.02 ася не работала, видимо, отключали сервера.
Начиная с 14.02 некоторым гражданам (вроде как у них ICQ 2000b)
не могу отправить сообщения. Пишут следующее:

15.02 (19:47) BadBlock: Привет
15.02 (19:47) *** Error while sending IM: This user is currently not logged on
15.02 (20:00) BadBlock: test
15.02 (20:00) *** Error while sending IM: This user is currently not logged on

В частности, Liquid Snake, какая у тебя версия аськи?
Твои сообщения до меня доходят, я тебе отправить не могу.

Так. Всё понятно стало.

Из-за каких-то действий или ошибки на серверах ICQ , теперь юзеры, сидящие в "невидимом" (invisible) режиме, не могут принимать сообщения. При этом, если им кто-либо пошлет сообщение, используя Trillian, то Trillian выдаст ошибку "This user is currently not logged on", если же посылать сообщение, используя программу ICQ, то еще веселее: сообщения об ошибке не будет, но сообщение не дойдет! Невозможность доставки сообщений происходит не в 100% случаях, но с очень большой вероятностью.

Итак, все резко выходим из Invisible...

I have two computers on my network, I have done some testing and have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter which client sends or receives the message, if someone is in invisible mode, they won't receive many of the messages.

My setup is like this...

Computer A uses ICQ pro client and is always in invisible mode.
Computer B uses trillian client and is never in invisible mode.

All tests were done with computer A in invisible mode.

Here are the results of my testing -

- Computer A on ICQ pro client, Computer B on trillian client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, the "user not logged on" error is displayed and computer A does not get the messages.

- Computer A on ICQ pro client, Computer B on ICQ pro client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, no errors are displayed, but Computer A never receives the messages.

Computer A on ICQ pro client, Computer B on ICQ2Go client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, no errors are displayed, but Computer A never receives the messages.

Computer A on Trillian client, Computer B on trillian client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, the "user not logged on" error is displayed and computer A does not get the messages.

Computer A on Trillian client, Computer B on ICQ pro client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, no errors are displayed, but Computer A never receives the messages.

Computer A on Trillian client, Computer B on ICQ2Go client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, no errors are displayed, but Computer A never receives the messages.

Computer A on ICQ2Go client, Computer B on trillian client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, the "user not logged on" error is displayed and computer A does not get the messages.

Computer A on ICQ2Go client, Computer B on ICQ pro client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, no errors are displayed, but Computer A never receives the messages.

Computer A on ICQ2Go client, Computer B on ICQ2Go client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, no errors are displayed, but Computer A never receives the messages.

I even switched uins and invisble status between computer A and B to make sure it wasn't just related to one computer, the results were always the same. No matter which client sent or received the message, the client in invisible mode will not receive most messages.

So it appears to be an ICQ server side issue. I reported the bug to ICQ yesterday morning and of course only received a generic email form letter about internet connections and firewalls. Nice to see they actually read their bug reports.

As for my own computer in invisible mode, if I repeatedly send messages from another client, the invisible client will sometimes receive some, but not all of the messages. It seems to receive more if the invisible client is messaging back. If the invisible client comes out of invisible mode, everything works as it should.

Может пахать, может и не пахать. Скорее может не пахать, чем пахать.

Читаем внимательнее: "Computer A on Trillian client, Computer B on trillian client. When computer B attempts to send a message to computer A, the "user not logged on" error is displayed and computer A does not get the messages."

Единственное отличие в случае с Триллиан в том, что он милосердно предупреждает
о невозможности доставки сообщения инвизиблу, а ICQ отправляет в никуда.

Глобальный сбой ICQ: как восстановить контакт-лист.

Сегодня произошел странный сбой на сервере, который поддерживает ICQ. Сначала интернет-пейджеры перестали работать, затем работа восстановилась, однако приблизительно треть пользователей осталась без контакт-листов.

Что именно произошло, пока неизвестно - на сайте http://web.icq.com нет никаких сообщений, объясняющих сбой программы. Некоторые эксперты предполагают, что это может быть некий коммерческий ход, поскольку контакт-листов лишились пользователи старых версий Time Limited Free Beta. В пользу этого говорит и тот факт, что восстановление базы происходит, как только ICQ переустанавливают в версии 2003а.

Еще один способ восстановления контакт-листа. В меню нужно выбрать кнопку "MyICQ", затем – "Save/Load", вчерашний "Autosave" и перезапуск ICQ.

Также эксперты советуют срочно сделать копию контакт-листов. Необходимо пересохранить на жестком диске папки 2000а, или 2000b, или 2002а и т.д

У меня тоже потерялся контакт-лист, но восстановился сегодня ссамостоятельно.
